MegaWave (the "Company") takes the privacy of Freeze Time (the "Service") users seriously and complies with applicable privacy laws and regulations.

Article 1 (Items Collected and Collection Methods)

The Company may process the following information to provide the Service.

  1. Information directly entered or created by the user
    • Ingredient name, category, storage date, notification reference date, quantity, notes, consumption records
    • Photos of ingredients taken or selected by the user, and photo file paths
  2. App settings information
    • Notification on/off, notification time, notification days, onboarding completion status, and other app settings
  3. Information accessed via permissions
    • Camera: for taking ingredient photos
    • Photos or media library: for selecting ingredient photos
    • Notifications: for providing storage period alerts

The Service does not use sign-up, login, advertising, or analytics tools. The above information is stored locally on the user's device. The Company does not collect or store ingredient records, photos, or notes on any external server.

Article 2 (Purpose of Collection and Use)

The Company uses the processed information for the following purposes.

  1. Providing the ability to register, view, edit, and delete freezer ingredients
  2. Providing ingredient photo capture and registration functionality
  3. Delivering local notifications based on storage duration
  4. Providing app features including categories, consumption logs, and statistics
  5. Receiving and handling customer inquiries

Article 3 (Retention and Use Period)

  1. Information entered or saved by the user in the app is stored locally on the user's device.
  2. When a user deletes an ingredient or photo within the app, the corresponding information is deleted from the device.
  3. When a user uninstalls the app, data stored in the app may be deleted according to the operating system's policy.
  4. The Company does not retain any user service data on external servers.
  5. If a user contacts the Company via email or other means, the inquiry may be retained for as long as necessary to handle it.

Article 4 (Third-Party Disclosure)

  1. The Company does not, as a rule, provide users' personal information to third parties.
  2. Exceptions apply in the following cases.
    1. When the user has given prior consent
    2. When required by specific legal provisions or to comply with legal obligations

Article 5 (Outsourcing of Personal Information Processing)

  1. The Company does not currently outsource the processing of users' personal information to any third party for the operation of the Service.
  2. If outsourcing of personal information processing occurs in the future, the details of the entrusted party and the scope of work will be disclosed in this Privacy Policy.

Article 6 (Disposal of Personal Information)

  1. Information stored on the device can be disposed of by the user via the in-app delete function or by uninstalling the app.
  2. Electronic file data is deleted in accordance with the policies of the operating system and storage medium.
  3. If the Company holds any separately retained information (e.g., customer inquiries), it will be disposed of without delay after the purpose of retention is fulfilled.

Article 7 (User Rights and How to Exercise Them)

Users, as data subjects, may exercise the following rights.

  1. Right to access personal information
  2. Right to request correction of errors in personal information
  3. Right to request deletion of personal information
  4. Right to request suspension of personal information processing

Since the primary data of the Service is stored locally on the user's device, users can delete their data directly through the in-app delete function or by uninstalling the app. To exercise rights over any inquiry information separately provided to the Company, users may contact the privacy officer using the contact information in this policy.

Article 8 (Security Measures for Personal Information)

The Company takes the following measures to ensure the security of personal information.

  1. Requesting only the minimum permissions necessary to provide the Service
  2. Applying the principle of storing user data locally on the device
  3. Minimizing the number of personnel who handle personal information
  4. Internal management of privacy-related inquiries and requests

Article 9 (App Permissions Guide)

The Service may request the following permissions, which are used solely to provide app functionality.

  1. Camera: used to take photos of ingredients.
  2. Photos or media library: used to register ingredient photos selected by the user.
  3. Notifications: used to provide storage period alerts for ingredients.

Users can grant or revoke app permissions at any time in the device settings. Note that revoking certain permissions may restrict access to features that require them.

Article 11 (Changes to This Privacy Policy)

This Privacy Policy is effective from its enforcement date. Any additions, deletions, or corrections due to changes in laws or the Service will be announced through the app or website. If there are significant changes that are unfavorable to users, they will be notified within a reasonable period before the changes take effect.
